Is this the beginning of a new tomorrow,
or the end of an old yesterday?
Is it the end of the beginning,
or the beginning of the end?
It's impossible to say.
The world is a circle going round and round
being our spirit of time,
unbroken circles
upon unbroken circles
that are sure to out live this rhyme.
We are mere mortals with a beginning and end;
it's natural for us to say,
"This the beginning,
that the end."
We see time flow our own way.
